Why “Potkávárna u Havrana”

“Potkávárna” stems from the Czech words for “meet” and “café”. We want it to be seen as a meeting place because our purpose is not to create a place for people to only sleep and eat, but a place where you go because the people there are the kind who you want to meet, people who are on the same wavelength as you, people with whom you resonate…

The word “ Potkávárna” also gives an air of tranquility and contentment. This is the main reason why we want to be in the mountains, and we daresay that this applies to you too.

And why “u Havrana”? This means “at the Raven”. It’s partly because all the founding members belong to a group called The Raven Crew, but the underlying meaning is different to this. A raven is a bird and a bird is a symbol of freedom, doing as it pleases (in a positive sense), and not bound by the rules. Think about a person with the same kind of freedom, and if you don’t know what kind of person to imagine, just watch the old Czech comedy “S Tebou Mě Baví Svět“.
